The place itself is great and the view is breathtaking in my opinion. The rooms that we saw are excellent. The staff though are a bit conceited and indifferent, although we were just able to interact with the front desk and not the entire staff because their rooms were full when we visited.
Horrible, very disappointed… I had high expectations because of the good reviews but sadly this is easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I brought my in laws from the states and am completely mortified for what they had to go through. They were given the triplex casa for 4000 pesos per night. They barely had any sleep because of a cat meowing through the walls and ceiling. Heavy rain the night before flooded the floor. The shower just dripped and dripped. My mother in law got electrocuted and the floor got dangerously slippery. They suffered through this but just tried to laugh it off and said would make for a good story telling. Yes they were transferred to a newer room and yes they were given a 1000 pesos discount but they deserve to have been fully compensated for their first night.
The room I stayed at with the rest of the family was Casita Uno for 9500 pesos per night. This is the loft type of unit for 5 people. It’s a newer suite but it was dusty, the bathroom mirror badly needed some windex, the chrome needed some desperate polishing and the tub tile grout needed some good cleaning. Hubby described it as gross. Cockroaches in the bathroom and millepede by the front door. The closet had some sort of crumbs that needed to be vacuumed. Had to ask for the room to be cleaned again, was not ready for check in at all.
The upsides were: the staff member who checked us in, cleaned the room, and took our meal orders, she’s very accommodating; pool looked clean, lounge chairs were nice, little huts looked cozy but the cushions need refresh; gorgeous and instagrammable view of dos hermanos; the circle bamboo twig picture frame thingy was very nice as well.
I wouldn’t be complaining too much if I paid a third of what we paid or if this was a hostel. Very subpar for the rate they charge. I would pay to take pictures in their beach area with dos hermanos in the background but I would totally skip staying here again.
Go to Saud beach, probably better luck there!
The place was homey and quaint. The staff is accommodating and very helpful. Food is ok and the ambiance is nice. Don't expect too much from the beach, though since it's rocky and may not be fit for the kids. The pool is small but just …
This is a quaint resort with a lot decorations in some nooks and crannies which looks creative and colorful. I think the place is in a good location with a good view of the Dos Hermanos. The staff are very accommodating and polite, room …
We enjoyed the place 🥰 a lot..planning to go back but during summer so we would better experience the beach
Nice and rustic, but well thought-out. Nice attention to detail, like pillows on hammocks, mood lighting in the cabanas at night, chill music in the background. The owners and staff are also very warm and accommodating. Good food at their all-day dining restaurant.
Nice view along the beach front, which faces the sunrise. You can wade to Dos Hermanos Islands when the tide is low. Bring your aqua shoes!
Would have given 5 stars, but some of the facilities could use some refurbishing or repair, but overall, I think they got the look and feel right. (We were told that they will close for a few months to do renovations; maybe I can give the 5th star then.)
Would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to my friends.
Our familiy and my sisters family total of 8 person (w/ 3 kids) went here for the long weekend this holyweek 2023. The place is good and staff are very welcoming, the facilities are ok, the beach is away from the famous blue lagood beach, arround 10 mins walk, which was crowded that time since its the holyweek, we rather stay in the casa consuelo, a little private since the facilities accomodate few guest that time. The beach front is not suited for swimming rather for activities, they have a lot of instagramable shot location within the facilities, The pool is ok, small but enough for the guest. there where power outtage during night time during our visit, not sure if this is the norm but the power was back during day time. The place has super high winds and it was cold. The casa consuelo resto have the local ilocano and international food that you can choose from, they have a lot and its great. Overall, I can recommend casa consuelo if you have the guts to drive all the way here, at least try it if you can, its you adn your cars right of passge anyway. :-)
Rooms were ok due to minor problems but can be fixed. Overall exterior were excellent. It all says in their tag line "Capital of Chill" and the experience really was especially with Ate Venus, Sir Richard and Sir Allah and all staff were very accomodating and always wearing a smile. Either with family or friends it was worth the long hour drive.
We enjoyed the beach during the morning because its low tide and we had the chance to go to Dos Hermanos Islands (rock formations) by walking and collecting beautiful sea shells.
Their pool has an adult and kiddie pool that has an ocean view which can be very relaxing.
The rooms were clean and tidy but I was not told beforehand that there were other variations of the same room. If I would have known I would have picked a different one. So make sure to ask about the other room variations. ||||The resort ground was clean, the pool was okay around 5ft-5.4ft. ||||The View was amazing! )
Up north and about 5 kilometers from entrance road is this resort that survived the pandemic. Simple but the rooms are clean and spacious for the number of people being advertised per room. They have a few kubo huts, pavilion, café/main dining area and a small reception area. The staff are genrally polite and helpful. The room we booked came with free breakfast for two - we booked one of their vista rooms 2 nyts, good for 2 pax). The room has A/C, functioning hot shower, small bath soap and a sachet of toothpaste. I suggest you bring the rest of your own toiletries. The winds were pretty strong (due to amihan, we were told by the staff) so the whole area was cold. There were guests and locals who were wearing hoodies and not summer outfits. There is also a pool in the resort, that's fronting the beach area. Dos hermanos is right in front of the resort but we were not able to do some snorkeling due to the strong current and winds. Parking is also available beside the entrance gate of the resort. 50% downpayment is required to confirm your booking thru their fb page.
